Portrait

There are three kinds of portraits: artistic, editorial and corporate. In the art-portrait any creative form can do, even abstract. In the editorial certain creativity is welcome although the person portrayed underlays certain aesthetic standards. A corporate portrait should serve a business to give a face to their employees in their communication and has specific rules. For the photographer it’s very much about bringing people, who are not used to be in front of the camera to relax and show their best and most likeable side.

Production

A smooth production is the one you don’t notice. On time, on budget and effective in creating the best result. But this is hardly ever the case, so a good production is planning with the right strategy including risk evaluations and calm no nonsense problem solving.

Travel & Documentary

You want the reader to start dreaming about the places you promote around the globe? Then you probably want the photography to show locations in a new, fresh and surprising way that create dreams of adventures, experiences and pleasures.

In documentaries you aim for pictures that trigger an intellectual and emotional response that lets people exchange, discourse and become active.

Art Direction

Some might claim that the photographer isn’t an art director. I claim every good photographer should be an art director in a wider sense, as it is in the nature of the profession to have ideas, a visual opinion about the images that are being created and how they should be shown. For the best result I believe in collaboration, in a creative lab where involved parties exchange and argue.

Fashion & Advertising

If you have the right new brand or product and want to trigger the desire of your potential clients, it’s about branding and putting your product into the right light. It’s repetition of aesthetic values that surprise every time from new and in some it’s the product that is king and will trigger the desired action.

In editorial if you like to surprise and entertain the reader of your publication, we should collaborate closely to create photography that stands out of the flood of images.

Social

Photography is one of the most potential language to communicate. Pictures should trigger emotion and emotions want to be shared. Moving, still or 3D, photography plays center stage in the future of social media sharing.
